Drawn in a style that pays homage to Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and
his iconic monsters, the most famous being Rat Fink. Ed Roth's
monsters
would routinely sport comically grotesque features such as bulging or
bloodshot eyes, large mouths with sharp teeth or flailing tongues and
usually have a gear stick in one hand, most notably with the pinky
finger exposed. The drawing depicts a Sopwith Camel in the livery of Wop May, a Canadian flying ace. Various artifacts of his can be found spread across a multitude of museums in Alberta. |
